چکیده
Abstract In order to analyse the dynamic response and damage characteristics of human tissues organs under non-lethal kinetic energy projectiles, a numerical simulation model torso is established based on Chinese visual (CVH) data sets. By dummy with CVH sets, calculation accuracy movement impact by non-Lethal projectile finite element were validated, skin perforation performance validated animal test. The projectile, which rubber ball in diameter 8mm 50 shores hardness, different velocity calculated, responses sternum, rib lung captured analysed. results shows that, if speed near probability velocity, due hardness structure ribs, will rebound no matter or not, vulnerable organ may not be damaged. At same time, pressure lungs without penetration significantly higher than penetration, risk soft projectiles greater hard when but perforation.

Injury Risk Assessment of Non-Lethal Projectile Head Impacts
Kinetic energy non-lethal projectiles are used to impart sufficient effect onto a person in order to deter uncivil or hazardous behavior with a low probability of permanent injury. Since their first use, real cases indicate that the injuries inflicted by such projectiles may be irreversible and sometimes lead to death, especially for the head impacts. Given the high velocities and the low masse...
متن کاملThe Numerical Exergy Analysis of H2/Air Combustion with Detailed Chemical Kinetic Simulation Model
Energy and exergy concepts come from thermodynamics laws and are applicable to all fields of science and engineering. This study considers numerical simulations of combustion of hydrogen with air in a constant pressure environment and exergy terms according to first and second laws analysis using homemade code. Chemical kinetic model includes 20 reactions and 9 species. At the first stage of p...
متن کاملAn Hybrid Experimental/numerical Method to Assess the Lethality of a Kinetic Energy Non-lethal Weapon System
Assessing the lethality of Kinetic Energy Non-lethal Weapons (KENLW) is very complicated because of the wide variety of projectiles currently in use, as well as the complexity that characterises the interaction between the projectile and the human body. This article describes and applies injury criteria found in the literature to perform a lethality assessment of a 40mm Nobel Sport sponge grena...
متن کاملComparison of less lethal 40 mm sponge projectile and the 37 mm projectile for injury assessment on human thorax
Since there is an increasing interest in avoiding human body injury in diverse situations like crowd control or peacekeeping missions, less lethal ammunition are more and more used. In this study we focus only on kinetic energy non-lethal (KENLW) projectiles. Their desired effects on human body are the temporary incapacitation through blunt trauma. There are different types of KENLW projectiles...
